Book discussion on Blackout

Join Leaders in Energy for a discussion on Marc Elsberg’s disaster thriller, Blackout on Tuesday, September 19th, from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Blackout is a fascinating depiction of a world affected by electric grid failure. This topic was discussed at our June 1 forum on cybersecurity and the power grid. Read book reviews on Goodreads for more information.

Our venue has been changed to Arlington Independent Media, located at 2701 Wilson Blvd # C, Arlington, VA 22201. Please RSVP with Leila Mathur Peck at leilamathur@gmail.com. There is no charge to participate.

The author’s publicist has donated a blackout emergency preparedness survival bag for one of us to take home!! This is a relevant theme given the hurricane that caused a blackout throughout the Caribbean and Florida.  We look forward to a lively discussion!

Depending on the number of people, we might walk over to Whitlow’s and hold the discussion there so we can eat, drink and be merry. Otherwise, we will have some refreshments available. Come even if you haven’t finished the book!
